Both 3rd classes went on their school tour to Pine Forest Art Centre in Glencullen last Friday. We had a really wonderful time and we were glad the sun came out for us. We went for a lovely hike in the beautiful forest and then did 3 different art activities. Thanks to all the great staff in Pine Forest for looking after us so well, to our teachers for bringing us and to Lisa and Bernice (parents) who kindly came along to help out. Check out the video to see the fun we had.

The 6th class girls in R. 16 and R. 11 had an excellent guided tour of the Botanic Gardens this morning before then looking at samples of flowers, leaves etc under the microscope. Many thanks to the two guides who were very interesting to listen to. This month we will be focusing on the value of PEACE. The sub-values each week will be 'Not Wanting More Than You Need', 'Gratitude', 'Having a Balanced Lifestyle' and 'Reflection'.
For the month of May we focused on the value of Non-Violence. Have a look at some of what the classes got up to last month! The St. Brigid's Basketball Team played in the annual Dublin mini basketball tournament in the National Basketball Arena on May 29th. The girls had three pool games, winning two and making it to the 3/4 place play off. We were delighted to win this final game and come third! Well done to the players and our two scorekeeping girls who did themselves and the school proud.
