On May 8th last, the 6th class girls in Room 16 presented their Blue Star project on the European Union to all classes from 2nd to 6th, as well as the parents of Room 16 and parents of the Romanian pupils in our school.
We were honoured to have the Romanian Ambassador to Ireland, H.E. Mrs Breazu, and a local councillor, Mr. Paul McAuliffe, as our guests, and to have them speak to the assembly about the importance of Europe.
We proceeded to sample European foods as brought in by the 6th class girls, and our visitors and parents enjoyed many varied tastes.
Mrs. Phelan's class are hoping to receive their Blue Star flag in recognition of all their work this year on their project.
