Did you know that Japanese writing has three scripts? That's like having three alphabets! Or that Japanese books are read from back to front? Have you ever heard of a Haiku? Well, it's a Japanese poem with three lines. The first has five syllables, the second has seven and the third has five. Take a read of some of our What am I? poems below. We have also been looking at the work of Japanese artist Hiroshige and you can see a sample of our lovely paintings in the Art Gallery. We have read and talked about a Japanese legend called Princess Hase of Japan, which is very similar to our own Children of Lir. Listen (yes, we really mean for you to listen), we have even learned how to count to 10 in Japanese!
