St. Brigid's Day Prayer Service 2026
To mark our 50 years we held a prayer service in conjunction with St. Brigid's Day. It was a very special occasion for everyone and we were joined by retired staff members, current staff members, our Board of Management, Parent's Association representatives, Holy Faith sisters, Paul Clarke and Jen O Donoghue from St. Mary's, Secondary School, Fr. Kieran (current PP) and Fr. Richard (former PP and chair of the BOM). Family members of colleagues we have lost (RIP) were also our guests on this special day.
It was a beautiful prayer service followed by the planting of an oak tree (tree of St. Brigid) to mark this milestone. The Student Council read pieces about the tree and its significance and Margaret Lennon (chairperson of our BOM) planted the tree.
We would like to thank Ms. Burke who put together the beautiful service, the Botanic Gardens who very kindly donated the oak tree, Ms. Moran who prepared the tree planting piece along with the Student Council, our music group led by Ms Hagan and Ms Ryan, all the children who participated so beautifully and our fantastic staff who were all involved in different ways. A very special thank you of course to our guests who came and helped us mark this lovely occasion.
