In 2016 St Brigid's became Ireland's first Human Values school. Since then teachers and school leaders from over 50 schools have completed training with us on how to integrate Education in Human Values (EHV) into their own schools. Education in Human Values can integrate seamlessly though the curriculum, and is now in operation in Ireland in schools of all types and contexts (including mainstream, religious, non-religious, special schools, Educate Together schools, hospital schools, a CAMHS school and schools for severe and profound learning difficulties). The EHV approach is truly inclusive and the human values of Love, Truth, Peace, Right Action and Non-Violence are the 5 universal human values that we all share, and as such 'bring unity in diversity'. The Education in Human Values approach is one that is not aligned with any particular belief system. There is no cost to implementing it and no resources need to be bought. These 5 Human Values are the values that we all share as human beings and they are timeless and inherent in us all. Nurturing them in children enables them to reach their highest potential.
