- Colouring competition.
- Photo and short story competition.
- C.O.W (Cycle on Wednesday) We had a total of 80 pupils that cycled, scooted and even skated to school on Wednesday. We had great fun cycling around the yard.
- Guess the teacher! We found an old photo of a teacher on her first bike that she received from Santa Clause one year. Children have to guess who the teacher is.
Here in St. Brigid's we are celebrating National Bike Week. We have lots of competitions and prizes organised to encourage the children to cycle to school each day this week.
It is celebration time in St. Brigid's as we received our Green Flag in the Helix last Tuesday, 19th May! We were the only school to be awarded a 6th Green Flag on the day so well done to everyone involved- remember, together we can make a difference!
As our motto says, 'We Come Together to Protect the World Forever!'

Everyone knows how hard our Greenschool's Committee work at helping to educate and motivate our school community to become aware of their impact on the environment. We now have achieved 5 Green Flags because of a whole school team effort. We are very proud of the Committee and our flags and now they have been invited onto a local radio station called NEAR FM to spread the green word even further.
So tune into 90.3 FM or listen online at www.http://nearfm.ie/livestream/ on Monday the 23rd of March at 11.30am to hear Éabha (R13), Holly (R10) and Emily (R15) with Ms. Edwards discussing all things Greenschools!
