Ethos
As a Roman Catholic school we aim to promote the full and harmonious development of all aspects of the person of the pupil: intellectual, physical, cultural, moral and spiritual, including a living relationship with God and with other people. The school models and promotes a philosophy of life inspired by belief in God.
St. Brigid’s G.N.S. provides religious education for the pupils in accordance with the doctrines, practices and tradition of the Roman Catholic Church and promotes the formation of the pupils in the Catholic Faith.
The Catholic ethos of St. Brigid’s prioritises the creation of a school climate of love, trust, respect and tolerance, which recognises the need for the cooperation and involvement of the whole school community, to establish our school as a centre of excellence in the provision of educational opportunities for each pupil. We aim to provide a welcoming and inclusive community that is respectful of those of all faiths and none.
