Welcome to St. Brigid’s School website. As you navigate through our website, you will learn more about our wonderful pupils and our school, and hopefully get a real sense of the vibrancy, warmth and strength of the St. Brigid’s school community.
Our website provides a window into the many aspects of school life and will keep pupils, parents, teachers and the wider community informed about the wonderful things happening here at St. Brigid’s — in our classrooms, on the stage, on the sporting field and in our school garden. 2026 is a very significant year in the history of St. Brigid’s. This year, we celebrate the 50th anniversary of our school building, giving us a wonderful opportunity to reflect on our history, celebrate our achievements and look forward with excitement to the future. As we mark this important milestone, we are also beginning an exciting new chapter in the life of our school. St. Brigid’s is beginning its transition to a mixed school, and in September 2027 we will proudly welcome Junior Infant boys for the first time. This is an important development for our school community and one that we look forward to embracing together. Over the coming months, our website will gradually reflect our new name, St. Brigid’s N.S. During this period of transition, please note that any reference to St. Brigid’s GNS on this website can now be understood to mean St. Brigid’s N.S. Our school is a place where every child is encouraged to learn, grow, discover their talents and reach their full potential. We are proud of our strong sense of community and of the partnership between our pupils, staff, parents and the wider community. We hope that our website will give you a glimpse of the learning, creativity, achievement and fun that takes place every day in St. Brigid’s. Come join us on our learning journey!
