Our main value for the month of February is Truth. The values that we will be focusing on each week are Telling the Truth, Not Exaggerating, Being Trustworthy and Being Yourself.
Happy new year everyone! Our main value this month is the value of PEACE. Our sub-values each week for the month of January will be Self-Discipline, Looking After Your Wellbeing, Gratitude and Equality. Our song for January is I'd Like to teach the World to Sing (In Perfect Harmony). Our value this month is 'Non-Violence'. The sub-values that we will focus on each week during December are firstly 'Tolerance', then 'Compassion' and finally 'Concern for Others' and our song for the month is Peace on Earth by David Bowie & Bing Crosby! :o) Have a look back at some of the values-related activities and events that took place around the school last month during November's month of RIGHT ACTION! We had a special visit from 'Singer' who sang live at our assembly and we even had a call from RTE News2day wanting to know all about what we've been doing with values here in St. Brigid's. Take a look... :o) We were very honoured to have the amazing 'Singer' join us for our Right Action values assembly this month!! Singer is a very lovely and very talented human values singer from Spain, who very kindly came to our school to sing his song 'Courage' for us at both our junior and senior values assemblies on Monday. We loved it! Thank you Singer!!! Have a look... :o) RTE News2day came to visit us for our values assembly yesterday to learn all about St. Brigid's as a Values School. The Spanish musician 'Singer' will be performing his human values song 'Courage' live at the assembly. We can't wait! Here's the link to his song - so get practising everyone!! :o) It's time again for our monthly look back at all of the fabulous values work that went on around the school! Last month we focused on 'LOVE', with our weekly sub-values being Caring, Kindness, Joy and Friendship. Can you find yourself in last month's movie?!? |
