A huge thank you to all the pupils and staff in St. Brigid's who brought in delicious cakes, and money to buy cakes, at our recent cake/craft sale in the school hall. An Easter raffle was also held, and thank you to all who sold/bought tickets for a very special cause. Funds raised will go to The Caroline Foundation. The two 6th classes were eager beavers on the day. Ms. Phelan's class sold cakes, painted nails, and had a 'Guess the number' jar(the answer was 327!!) Congratulations to Jennifer Brunton for being exactly correct in her guess. Ms. Ryan's class held their innovative 'Pink Bakery' on the day, and more delicious cakes, in pretty pink boxes, were sold out before days end. Several other classes got involved in making crafts-clay hearts, bookmarks and friendship bracelets, all of which were very popular and sold very well. Huge organisation for the event was needed, and sincere thanks to Joan for coordinating and organising the big day :) A grand total of 4,788 euros was raised altogether so well done again to everyone! | |
