Ingredients:Equimpent: 250g Plain Four Bowl 75g Butter Wooden Spoon 75g Brown Sugar Rolling Pin 1/2 teaspoon Bicarbonate of Soda Cutters 50g Golden Syrup Baking sheets 1 Egg Yolk Weighing Scales 1/2 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon Icing 1/2 teaspoon Ground Ginger
Directions 1. Cream butter and sugar together. 2. Add bicarbonate of soda, golden syrup and egg yolk. Stir well. 3. Sift the flour and spices into the bowl. 4. Shape into a ball and knead until smooth. 5. Roll out dough and use gingerbread cutters to cut out shapes. 6. Place on baking sheets and bake at 180c/gas 4 for about 10-12 minutes. 7. Leave to cool and then decorate with icing.
