St Brigid's Parents Association would like to welcome back all the girls and staff to school. We hope you had a lovely break over the summer!
We send a special warm welcome to the new Junior Infants, new girls joining other classes and to all the new parents. We wish you all a great year at school. The Parents Association will be hosting a "Teas and Tissues" event in the school hall for Junior Infants parents/ guardian who have just dropped their girls to school. There will tea/ coffee, biscuits and tissues available. It is a nice opportunity to meet some other parents and relax after a busy morning. Well done to all the girls and staff who took part in the School Marathon Relay today! You were fantastic! A massive thank you to everyone who donated to our fundraising event! We really appreciate your support towards our goal of resurfacing the junior yard. Thank you to School Marathon Relay for running the event and to Lidl for their contribution to our water station. Donations are still welcome and we will leave our GoFundMe page open for another couple of weeks. https://gofund.me/34ca705d Many thanks, St Brigids Parents Association The Parents Association Committee would like to welcome all the girls and their families back to school! We look forward to planning lots of events over the coming year. We were delighted to be able to host our teas and tissues event on the first day of school and to meet some of the junior infants’ parents. We hope all the girls are settling well into school.
In 2019, the Parents Association in consultation with the school, agreed to fundraise sufficient funds to resurface the junior yard. We held an Easter Fair in April 2019 and raised an incredible €15,000. We had planned to raise further funds for the yard in 2020 but unfortunately the pandemic delayed our plans. We are delighted to announce that we can now continue our efforts to resurface the yard. We really hope we can raise sufficient funds that would enable the yard to be resurfaced in Summer 2023! On 30th September, we will be running a School Marathon Relay (http://www.schoolmarathonrelay.ie/) whereby all the girls in the school will participate in a relay and will cover the distance of a marathon by the end of the day. We hope it will be a fun day for all the girls! The girls will be bringing home sponsorship cards soon. Sponsorship can be returned to the school as cash or via our GoFundMe page (https://gofund.me/34ca705d) We would really appreciate your support with this project! St Brigid’s Parents’ Association Committee The Parents Association wish all the girls the very best for their First Holy Communion Day tomorrow.
The girls, their families and friends are all invited to the church hall after Mass for the some tea/ coffee and treats! We hope you all have a wonderful day! If parents from other classes would like to donate cakes or sandwiches, you can drop them into the church hall tomorrow morning, 21.05.22 from 10.30 to 13.00. All donations are greatly appreciated!
