Huge thanks to Ms. McGrath and all who helped to organise such a wonderful Multicultural week in our school. It certainly was a feast of fun and colour for everyone involved!
We learned all about each others' countries, cultures and customs in our classrooms! We played each others' games! We went on a virtual tour of the world by interacting with the fabulous displays in the hall! Some of our parents came in to chat! We enjoyed two fantastic fashion shows where the girls modelled their beautiful traditional costumes! We adopted a country and wore our colours to represent it! We took part in a really fun obstacle course! We ate some yummy food! ;-) We learned and sang two great songs! Best of all we had great fun learning about our friends from our friends! Our wonderful 3rd class members are busy collecting all of your used or 'wasted' markers and pens to create our very first recycled rainbow!! The girls are very excited to make and display the resulting masterpiece! Just like the beautiful mosaic we worked on last year, this time you can donate a marker or pen to their collection to create a colourful rainbow.
We hope to have their rainbow on display in the next few weeks so keep on donating! Don't let your markers and pens go to waste! Let's create something beautiful instead! Sarah, Holly and Catríona from Ms. Moran/Ms. Coggins' class and Jennifer, Ella, Sarah, Aoileann and Rebecca from Ms. Moore/ Ms. O' Reilly's class will be coming to your class to collect more markers and pens next week!
Room 14 loved Ms. Devlin's recycled decorations so much that they made their own using scraps of material, card, paper and old Christmas decorations. Here are the results! |
