Last week we had a very special visitor to the school to raise our 6th Green Flag for Global Citizenship Litter & Waste. Mairéad Ronan came in to chat to all the children about the flag and what they had to do to achieve it. Mairéad was soo impressed with the amount of work that we do in the school and felt privileged to raise our flag. We welcomed last years members of the Green School Committee back to the school to celebrate with us and also announced the new members of our committee. Third class were working very hard writing their letters of application to the Green School Committee. The standard was very high this year but unfortunately we can only pick four people. Congratulations to Meisha & Lucette from room 15 and Harriet & Alice from room 1. Their letters are up on the Green School notice board if anyone wants to read them. |
