Harvest  2016

25/10/2016

Check out these photos from Harvest Day. We dug up some rhubarb, courgettes, squash, peas, carrots, tomatoes and many more. Thanks so much to Terri who volunteers a lot of his time to our school garden.

Did you know
  • We use seaweed from the beach to make a natural organic fertiliser. (Check out our seaweed bin next time you're in the garden).
  • We use rotten leaves to make a leaf mould bin and use this as a natural fertiliser also.
  • We use natural repellents such as garlic to keep slugs and bugs from eating our vegetables.
  • We use a wide range of flowers, vegetables and fruit trees to attract insects for pollination and diversity. (Keep an eye out for our new bug hotel).
