We began our first workshop on 4th December with Gráinne Ryan from Waste Action Ireland and Clare Egan from Dublin City Council. We collected all of our school waste from 1 day and transported it to the hall so we could inspect it and weigh it. Why did we do this? It sounds really strange! Well, we were checking a few main things:
What do you think? Does this seem like a lot of waste? Do you think we could do better in our school? How? *Hint: Maybe these could be some magic words for St. Brigid's! REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE and RETHINK!! Tell us! Why not put your thoughts or suggestions in our Green Schools suggestion box? Remember to write them on re-used paper!! ;-) Better still, save paper and leave us a comment on this page! We will be back next week with the results! How did your class do? How did the teachers do.......?????!!! Finally for now, here are some images of the Green Schools Committee hard at work last Thursday!

The waste audit was really interesting to do and we should try to improve on what we put in the bins!
