Our Easter fair run by the Parent's Association was a huge success again this year. It was a really enjoyable day and a lot of people were involved in the organisation and running of the event.
Huge thanks to the committee members for their amazing work. Many thanks also to our sponsors, parent volunteers, staff, children and all who attended on the day or contributed in other ways. See the short video below.

A short musical look back at room 7's second term in 1st class... :o) Final rehearsals are well under way at this stage for the amazing 5th and 6th class variety show 'Brigid's Got Talent!' The show will be on for two nights in the parish hall on Thurs 19th and Fri 20th April and tickets will be on sale in school after Easter. Just in case you haven't heard our Easter Fair is taking place this Sunday March 25th. Final preparations are underway. We are completing our entries for the colouring competition and busy doing up posters for the various stalls on the day - the book stall, the toy stall, the cake stall, the tuck shop - to mention but a few. The Easter Bunny and might make a surprise appearance after our egg hunt. Don't miss it - it is going to be a great day out!!
To comply with with the new requirements of The Children's First Act 2015, the National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children 2017 and the Child Protection Procedures for Primary and Post Primary Schools 2017, the Board of Management have agreed and ratified the following Child Safeguarding Statement. A hard copy of this document is available on request from the school office. This document includes a risk assessment setting out the areas of risk identified from a child protection perspective and the school's procedures for the management of these risks.
The overriding value that we will be focusing on in St. Brigid's for the month of March is 'Right Action'. Our weekly sub-values this month will be Showing Respect, Being Reliable and Helping.
Have a look back at some of the values-related activities that took place in the different classrooms around the school last month. Can you spot yourself this time?!? |
