We have been very busy helping Santa Claus and the elves this Christmas. We helped make lots of toys and wrap them in Santa's workshop. We made beautiful Christmas tree in junk art, built the North Pole in the construction area and even got to explore the arctic and learn about arctic animals in the water area. Check out all the fun we had below!

Well done to all the girls in Room 15 for their performance of the nativity story, some songs and poems. You all did a great job:-). A big thanks to all the parents and grandparents who came to see it. Thanks also to Ms. Armstrong for coming in to see it and taking this video for us.
We've been busy in Room 15 for the last while and have been extra busy for the last couple of weeks with all the Christmas activities. See the slideshow below for some pictures of what we've been up to.
The girls in room 7 had a lot of fun this week singing Christmas songs and reciting poetry for their parents and grandparents. Here are a few photos and videos and a behind-the-scenes sneak peak at some of the rehearsals... Well done girls! :o)
We had great fun baking these festive treats. We used plain flour, ground ginger, bicarbonate of soda, butter, soft light brown sugar, an egg and some golden syrup. We placed our cut-out trees in the fridge for an hour, before baking them in the oven at 170C. We decorated them when cold with icing and gold balls. Some of us brought them home, while others had them eaten before the icing had a chance to set! Check out our photos below.. Well done to Sarah (Room 11 ) and Emily, Amy and Ruth (Room 14 ) who took part in the Ecumenical Carol Service at The Centre for Faith and Dialogue before Christmas. The girls took part in the Christmas story and as always represented St Brigid's beautifully. The Sisters were delighted with their participation.
Ms Sheridan's class stirred up the spice this festive season with our Sugar and Spice biscuits. We weighed out our ingredients, mixed them all together and, after a 2 hour wait in the fridge, we rolled out our dough. We then cut out some Christmas shapes and baked our delicious biscuits. When they had cooled down, we decorated them with sugar and water icing and topped them off with little silver balls. Gorgeous!
