Well, Multicultural Week has come to an end and wow a success!! Every class put in a massive effort and took part in numerous events during the week.
Fashion Show: Well done to all the girls from Junior Infants to 6th class, who graced the catwalk on Tuesday in their traditional costumes and colourful outfits, You can find a video of the fashion shows in our VIDEO section. Obstacle Course: Each class represented their country and competed against each other in an obstacle course on Tuesday. A big thank you to Lana, Hannah R, Lauren, Ellen, Emily B, Shannon, Emma, Ellen C, Lucie and Rachel who are all members of the Active Schools Committee. These girls did an excellent job organising and setting up the obstacle course for the whole school. Displays in the Hall: On Wednesday and Thursday, our school hall was transformed into a temporary museum, displaying all the work each class had done while researching their assigned country. Some class made posters, some painted beautiful artworks inspired by an artist from their country. Other classes made traditional food from their country and others displayed traditional costumes. Each class visited the museum and had their passport stamped as they traveled around the world on an information fueled journey. Parents: A BIG thank you to all the parents who visited us during Multicultural Week to give talks, look at the displays and lots more. We hope you enjoyed the whole experience just as much as we did. We will be uploading many, many photographs to our Photo Gallery over the next little while, be sure to check them out!
