St. Brigid's would like to wish everybody a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We would also like to remind you that we are collecting all used batteries, stamps from envelopes & old touch screen phones. All these items will help keep our Earth clean by recycling. All items recycled will supply money to children's charities and could also help get an iPad for our school.
Have a happy & safe Christmas. See you in 2018!!

Well done to all the girls in Room 20 who performed some songs, a poem and the nativity story for their parents on Monday. They practised really hard and did a great job. Thanks to all who came along to see it. Happy Christmas.

A little peek into some of what the girls in room 7 have gotten up to so far this year during their first term in 1st class...
Such an exciting day today when Jonny Cooper came to visit with the Sam Maguire. 3 in a row is a huge achievement and we're so glad we got to congratulate Jonny from Na Fianna who always makes time to come and visit us. #3 in a row
We really appreciate it. We would also like to thank Niall Cooper and Mark Mc Manus from Na Fianna for organising the visit and coming along. They had a very busy day. See some of the pictures in the video below, Well done to our 5th and 6th class girls who helped get everyone into the Christmas spirit on Sunday with their lovely singing at the Botanic Gardens Christmas Fair! Our value this month is 'Non-Violence'. The sub-values that we will focus on each week during December are firstly 'Tolerance', then 'Compassion' and finally 'Concern for Others' and our song for the month is Peace on Earth by David Bowie & Bing Crosby! :o) Have a look back at some of the values-related activities and events that took place around the school last month during November's month of RIGHT ACTION! We had a special visit from 'Singer' who sang live at our assembly and we even had a call from RTE News2day wanting to know all about what we've been doing with values here in St. Brigid's. Take a look... :o) |
