Gunjan from 6th class R. 16 did St. Brigid's proud the past few weeks by constantly being at the top of the 'Mathletes' leader board for Leinster. She competed in the recent Leinster finals and came in third place. She also was the top pupil for the amount of time she spent on-line in this competition.
Mathletes is a maths tournament across Ireland based on the Khan Academy's way of teaching maths. Visit www.mathletes.ie to find out more. Well done Gunjan. A super achievement!

The girls in Room 16 made a fantastic model of the Earth's core using plasticine. We can see how many layers are inside the earth in this great model. Jennifer and Arpitha did a great job!

A huge thank you to everyone in St. Brigid's who is making such a brilliant effort to keep our waste levels down!
Check out the Greenschools blog to see more images from our final waste audit back in February and all the wonderfully green things that are happening in our school. Remember to re-use paper whenever you can! Keep washing out those milk cartons and yoghurt pots! Bring as much of your lunch waste home in your lunchbox as you can and compost your fruit! Working together we can continue to keep our beautiful school a lovely place to be, work and play! ;-) The girls in Room 3 have been busy since returning to school after the Easter holidays. This week the theme of Aistear is 'The Vet' and in our role play area the girls were busy bringing their sick animals to be taken care of. They also had to make animals in our Junk Art area and using playdough. Our other areas this week were construction and water, where we tried our best not to get wet!
