Have a look at some of the classes below as they harvest the vegetables. We had our annual Halloween harvest in the school garden on Monday 19th of October. There were many delicious autumnal vegetables grown and ready for harvesting including some GIANT pumpkins, squashes, courgettes, green tomatoes, garden peas, peppers, chilli peppers and more! A child from every class got to bring home a bag of these wonderful organic vegetables too! The pumpkins will be raffled on Friday! Thank you to our Gardener Terry for his amazing work in the garden every year. There is always great excitement helping out out with the harvesting. What was your favourite vegetable from the garden? We had our Harvest Day in the school garden this morning. Terry has been busy growing lots of fruit and vegetables for our Summer Harvest. Every class had a time slot to visit the garden and help him to harvest tasty sugar snap peas, carrots, turnips, radishes and strawberries. He even told us a story about a squirrel visitor who is enjoying our strawberries too! Have a look at the Senior Infants and Junior Infants below picking carrots and sugar snap peas.
