We have come to the end of a very busy year here at St Brigid's. All our girls have worked very hard both inside and outside the classroom. As well as great wins on the football field, the basketball court and the camogie pitch, we were awarded our sixth Green Flag, the Active School Flag and the Blue Flag for our work on Europe. Second Class and Sixth class celebrated the sacraments of Communion and Confirmation, We had our first ever Intercultural Week and also celebrated Catholic School's Week, Internet Awareness Week, Seachtain na Gaeilge, and Active School's Week, Our Parent's Association organised our first Powered Pedal Cinema which was great fun, and raised lots of money for the school. We wished farewell to our amazing Sixth Class and got to meet and greet our incoming Junior Infants of 2015. Sadly, we said farewell to our beloved former Principal Ms O'Brien. We all miss her and know she is very proud of all our achievements .
Thank you to all our pupils, parents and staff who continue to make St Brigid's such a fantastic school. Wishing you all a restful, happy and safe Summer! Ms Burke

Both third classes visited the Botanic Gardens before school finished for the summer. Jennifer from R7 brought her butterfly growing kit and everyone watched in amazement as the butterflies were released. She had nurtured them from small caterpillars through their development to butterflies. It was wonderful. On Fri. 26th June, Room 10 performed The Witch who Nicked Happiness for their friends and family. They worked very hard, learning their lines and giving it their all. It was great fun, enjoyed by actors and audience alike. |
