We have been very busy helping Santa Claus and the elves this Christmas. We helped make lots of toys and wrap them in Santa's workshop. We made beautiful Christmas tree in junk art, built the North Pole in the construction area and even got to explore the arctic and learn about arctic animals in the water area.  Our theme for Aistear last month was 'The Doctor's Surgery'. We were very busy treating patients, building hospitals and taking x-rays. We also did some marbling in the water area. Check out our photos below!  Our theme for Aistear last month was The Clothes Shop. We enjoyed pretending to be shop assistants and customers. Our construction team were busy building shopping centres and in junk art we designed some beautiful outfits and hats. Room 6 had great fun doing Hip Hop dancing this term. We learned lots of new dances to songs like Uptown Funk and Starships. Check out our wonderful singing and dancing!For December in Room 3 the girls were busy in Santa's workshop helping Santa to get all the toys ready and wrapped in time for Christmas Eve. In January they set up the Doctor's Surgery and were very good doctors, nurses, receptionists and patients. They built lots of things in the Construction and Playdough area such as hospitals, ambulances and doctors while also painting and making interesting things in the Junk Art area. Have a look at our pictures! We were very busy in room 3 in November. Our Aistear theme was 'The Post Office' where everyone got a chance to write and post some letters. We did lots of printing, practising our letter sounds and creating patterns. We have been learning Irish dancing since September and we are getting very good! Take a look at some pictures from our classroom. For the month of May the girls in Room 3 were working on the theme 'Food'. They got to play in the restaurant, made food from play dough and sand, made delicious looking paper plate pizzas and built their own restaurants.. They also worked on deciding if food was healthy or unhealthy and there was a station where they got to play alphabet bingo. It's been a busy month! The girls in Room 3 have been busy since returning to school after the Easter holidays. This week the theme of Aistear is 'The Vet' and in our role play area the girls were busy bringing their sick animals to be taken care of. They also had to make animals in our Junk Art area and using playdough. Our other areas this week were construction and water, where we tried our best not to get wet!
We began Aistear this week in Room 3 and we had great fun!. There were five stations and our theme for the week was 'Spring'. We got to plant Nasturtium seeds and recorded what we did after. Let's hope we will see some flowers over the next few weeks! We got to play in the flower shop, dig in the sand, play with the farm animals and make some lovely Spring flowers using playdoh. Have a look at how busy we were!
