Our main value for April is TRUTH. Our weekly sub-values are Honesty and Self-Worth. We've got two songs this month too. The Honesty Song for junior classes and Labi Siffe's Something Inside So Strong for the senior classes.

Check out some of the Non-Violence lessons and activities that took place around the school during March!
Well done to everyone who was so wonderfully supportive of our annual cake sale last Friday in aid of The Caroline Foundation, Caring for Pádraig and our school. We couldn't do it without the generosity and kindness of our students, parents and all of the staff who contribute in so many ways.
A special mention to Joan who organises this event and does a huge amount of work in the weeks running up to it. Also we are very grateful to the wonderful 6th class girls who ran the event so well on the day. We were delighted as always to have Ms Dwyer's (Caroline's) parents visit on the day. She has a very special place in the hearts of all in St. Brigid's and we are delighted to support the great work for cancer research going on in her name. Thanks everyone:-). See the video below for a snapshot of the busy but fun day!
Our 6th classes took a break from Confirmation preparation last week to take part in the 20x20 campaign around the visibility of girls in sport and to mark International Women's Day. Both classes joined together to play football and do some circuits which they set up themselves. Check out our video below.
Well done everyone! #ShowYourStripes If you can't see it, you can't be it' NON-VIOLENCE is the value for March in St. Brigid's, with this month's weekly sub-values being Concern for Others, Inclusiveness, Respect for Diversity and Appreciation. And you can't beat a bit of Makem and Clancy for a song..! |
