Such an exciting day today when Jonny Cooper came to visit with the Sam Maguire. 3 in a row is a huge achievement and we're so glad we got to congratulate Jonny from Na Fianna who always makes time to come and visit us. #3 in a row
We really appreciate it. We would also like to thank Niall Cooper and Mark Mc Manus from Na Fianna for organising the visit and coming along. They had a very busy day. See some of the pictures in the video below,

Today we had a visit from Finglas Fire Brigade. The firemen talked to us about fire safety and how the fire engine worked. They showed us all of the special fire equipment and we even got to see the hoses work!Everyone got to have a look inside the fire engine too. They also reminded everyone to go home and check their smoke detectors to keep fire safe. ![]() We were delighted to have been selected as a Scoilnet 'Star Site'. This much-coveted award recognises schools all over Ireland that embrace the web as a communication tool. Well done to the teachers and students for keeping the News Blog up to date with their fantastic work and news throughout the year! Our school was featured in the April edition of the Intouch magazine which is an INTO publication. ( see image at the side) ---------------------------> On Thursday, the 8th of October, 2 army officers visited our school. Their names were Lieutenant Deirdre Molloy and Sergeant John Maloney. They came to present us with the Irish Flag and read the Proclamation. For 10 minutes, they asked us to pretend that we were in the army too which was fun. That meant we had to sit up straight and answer with "Yes M'am" and "Yes Sergeant". Sergeant Maloney told us some rules about the Irish flag and Lieutenant Molloy presented the flag to Hannah, Taylor and Mya, who received the flag on behalf of the whole school. Hannah's great grand uncle fought in the war, Taylor's great grand father witnessed the war and Mya's birthday is on the day the rising began. The Irish army are our heroes.
