Well done to everyone who took part in the Maths Week competition with Mangahigh.com. There was a massive effort from all pupils in 2nd -6th class, to earn medals and points for our school, both during their computer class and some girls even played it at home or with their class teacher too. We came an AMAZING 23RD PLACE! and earned a FANTASTIC 2582 POINTS Congratulations especially to the Top 10 performers in our school. Their names are in the slideshow below. Our Maths Week trail was great fun! We were busy counting, adding up and looking anywhere and everywhere for different numbers and shapes. The trail took us around the school grounds and finished up in the hall. Maths Week Ireland is taking place this week and we are celebrating it here in St. Brigid's. If you would like to know more about maths week, you can visit www.mathsweek.ie In conjunction with Maths Week 2015, Mangahigh.com will be hosting a nationwide maths competition that begins tomorrow and ends next Sunday. Mangahigh aims to teach the Maths curriculum through maths games. St. Brigid's is registered on the site and every student from 2nd -6th have their own user ID and password. Mangahigh will award anyone who scores 100 points a REAL MEDAL! We hope to earn madals and points for our school by completing maths challenges and games. Ms. Edwards will give out certs to the school's Star Performers by the end of the competition.
