St. Brigid's were very well represented at the Ballygall Credit Union Quiz in Sacred Heart School. We had 14 teams participating and we were delighted to win a few of the prizes. Well done to all the girls who had a very enjoyable evening and represented the school in a very positive manner. Well done especially to the 6th class girls who went from the quiz to take part in the Be My Witness Confirmation programme in the school.

Room 15 are watching 'Kid President' for homework as part of their values reflection week. We all disagree sometimes and this can be healthy and good if we do it in the right way. It is  important to listen to each other.

Let's see what Kid President has to say about it.  Do you agree with him?

This week's sub-value was Care for the Environment. Over the past two weeks, we have been collecting cardboard, bottle caps, egg cartons and all sorts of packaging to create our monsters. We worked in groups of 2 or 3, imagining, planning and building our creations. We are very proud of our work and really enjoyed making them. Take a look at these wonderful works of art.

Fruit Friday!

20/1/2017

Room 14 celebrated Fruit Friday by making Fruit Friends. The girls could make a person or animal out of fruit and vegetables and had great fun using their imaginations! The best part was after making their fruit pals, they could gobble them up so lots of girls discovered new favourite fruits and tastes.
Well done everyone! :-)

Wellbeing Week

As part of Well-Being Week we participated in yoga. Not only does Terry look after us by helping us grow healthy fruit and vegetables, but he also teaches us how to look after our body and mind by teaching us some yoga. Remember it is just as important to take care of our body then it is your mind.
Happy Mindfulness Week everybody!!

Room 14 are following the motto of 'building bridges not walls' as we investigated bridge-building in Science class.
We investigated different materials and strategies to construct the bridges and some of them held a whopping 1kg of weight!
Well done everyone! :-)
