MATHS WEEK IRELAND, 12TH -16TH OCTOBER

Maths Week Ireland is taking place this week and we are celebrating it here in St. Brigid's. If you would like to know more about maths week, you can visit www.mathsweek.ie

In conjunction with Maths Week 2015, Mangahigh.com will be hosting a nationwide maths competition that begins tomorrow and ends next Sunday. Mangahigh aims to teach the Maths curriculum through maths games. St. Brigid's is registered on the site and every student from 2nd -6th have their own user ID and password.  Mangahigh will award anyone who scores 100 points a REAL MEDAL! We are having lots of fun using Mangahigh during our computer class.  We hope to earn madals and points for our school by completing maths challenges and games.  Ms. Edwards will give out certs to the school's Star Performers by the end of the competition.  We will also cross our fingers that we play enough games to get our school in the top ten by the end of the week. The Junior classes are learning lots of maths skills too on www.crackingmaths.com.
