ANNUAL ADMISSION NOTICE in respect of admissions to the 2021/2022 school year Admission Policy and Application Form A copy of the school’s Admission Policy and the Application Form for Admission for the 2021/2022 school year is available for download by clicking below: Admissions Policy Application Form for Admission or On request: By emailing stbrigid.glasnevin@gmail.com or writing to : St. Brigid’s G.N.S, Old Finglas Road, Glasnevin, Dublin 11 Admissions to the 2021/2022 school year Application and Decision Dates for admission for the 2021/2022 The following are the dates applicable for admission to Junior Infants The school will commence accepting applications for admission on 01/10/2020 The school shall cease accepting applications for admission on 23/10/2020 The date by which applicants will be notified of the decision on their application is 06/11/2020 The period within which applicants must confirm acceptance of an offer of admission is 27/11/2020 Note: the school will consider and issue decisions on late applications in accordance with the school’s admission policy. All schools are required to draw up a new School Admission Policy in line with The Education (Admissions to Schools) Act. This policy has been approved by the Board of Management and the patron body following input from staff and the parent body. As part of the new admissions procedures schools have to publish an annual Admissions Notice which outlines procedures for enrolment. From October 1st 2020 enrolments will be accepted in schools during a specified 3 week period in the year prior to a child starting school. Welcome back everyone! As usual we will begin our year focussing on the value of PEACE as September is the international month of Peace. Our weekly sub-values for the month are Calmness, Patience, Positivity and Wellbeing and our song for this month is 'Light A Candle For Peace'. Have a sing along... :o) Even though we can't have our Values Assembly in school this month we can still learn about Right Action. For this assembly we are thinking about COURAGE. Lots of people showed great courage during this crisis and this assembly reminds us that we all need to show courage in our lives. Our value for June is Right Action and our weekly sub-values are Courage, Self-Improvement, Self-Control and Accountability. Our songs for this month are Reach For The Stars (Juniors) and Brave (seniors). Have a listen... :o)

It's great to see everyone's good values coming to the fore during these unusual times of school closure and self-isolation. Well done girls! We know everyone has been pulling together and supporting each other in lots of ways, from using co-operation and teamwork helping out at home to showing love and kindness to people who might be feeling a little bit worried or lonely during these times.
