Blue Star Award for St. Brigid's

Ms. Phelan's 6th class worked on the Blue Star programme since last September, learning about the EU and the importance of Europe in our lives. Throughout the year we learned about history, geography and cultural aspects of the EU. We had a lot of fun in doing so. In May for Europe week, we welcomed the Romanian Ambassador, Cllr. Paul McAuliffe and parents to a school assembly to celebrate Europe Day.
We are delighted to receive this award, and a European flag in recognition of our work done this year.

I enjoyed taking part in this programme and the best part was when the ambassador and Cllr Paul McAuliffee came in to celebrate Europe Day.We loved going to City Hall.Thank you so much teacher.
