Dublin Senior 'B' Girls Basketball Tournament Winners!

Having won the Dublin basketball league final in February, the girls of St. Brigid's returned to the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght today to participate in the Dublin Senior 'B' tournament. This was a round robin competition, comprising five teams, including St. Brigid's. 
We began on a positive note, winning our first game  16:2. Our second game was a much closer affair, but we edged out winners on a score line of 10:6. We won our third and fourth games comprehensively to take the title, and the trophy, home to Glasnevin.
Every girl played her heart out, and contributed to this super win. Four girls did table officiating, and what a great job they did as well. I was so proud of the team. Since October, they have trained hard and put into practice what they learned during the year. 
On behalf of our basketball team, Sarah Cullen(R.14) and her sister, Hannah(R.16) were co-captains in accepting the trophy.
Well done, everyone. You were, and are, amazing!!
