Mrs. Phelan's 6th class had really good fun at the Irish Aid workshop. We split into 2 groups and half watched a video while half learned a song called 'bring in the washing'. We also played the bongos and dressed up in national clothes. We learned about a girl named Memory who is 18 and lives in a very poor village. She gets up at 5 in the morning and makes her little sisters breakfast and then she does some chores and goes to school. Though she doesn't have things like wifi and electricity, she and her family are very happy. Memory wants to do well to get a good job to help support her family. Terri, R.16
