Room 4's Aistear in November -People Who Help Us

This month our theme was 'People Who Help Us' Our Home Corner was transformed into a Doctor's Surgery.

We have been role playing going to the doctor’s surgery being a patient, a receptionist, a nurse or a doctor. We have learned how to use a stethoscope, a thermometer and how to check someone’s reflex!  We even had an X-Ray machine and eye testing area.

We also started using water play this month and love learning about measuring liquids using the different containers in the water. At the art station, we painted pictures of what we want to be when we grow up. 

At the Construction area, we made doctor's hats, hospitals and waiting rooms using lego and stickle bricks.  At the small world area, we played out a visit to the doctors using our minature characters. 

This has been one of our favourite themes so far and we look forward to visiting the Post Office next!
