Update from Room 15

14/12/2015

We've been working really hard in 4th class this month. We brought in and presented our projects on 1916 a few weeks ago. They were all very impressive and a huge effort was made with these at home. We're also reading a novel about the Rising. We also had a surprise visit from James Mc Carthy with the Sam Maguire which was really great. We're so lucky to have seen it twice this year. This month we're busy preparing for Christmas. We've been doing Advent tasks every day at school and at home. We decorated our classroom, made gift bags in art and made our own Christmas decorations out of recycled materials as part of our Green Schools work. This is a competition and the standard is very high. Our teacher will need some help to judge it.  We have lots of shows to watch this week, a carol service to practise for and we are doing a Jingle Bell Run tomorrow dressed in our festive gear. There's great excitement everywhere. We'd like to wish everyone a very happy Christmas.
See the slideshow for pictures of what's been happening.
